A Memorial to Bob Schmidt

He was a husband, a father, a papa, a best friend, a mentor and a coach. Most of all, Bob Schmidt loved God and through his servant leadership wanted everyone he loved and cared about to know our Lord so that one day they will all be where he is now.

Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

While thousands of people will remember Bob for his teaching and transforming of lives during his 38 year career in the Direct Sales Industry, many never had the opportunity to know Bob’s heart. A private man, there was a shy and gentle side of Bob and it was to those in need that he and his wife Barbara gave quietly. In the last few years of his life they became very involved in the Ministry of Be a Hero. Be a Hero places children in homes with parents that give them hope, teach them to love the Lord, and help them become happy and responsible adults. Bob’s goal was to donate one million dollars to this ministry and he and Barbara are well on their way to doing just that. He was always encouraging others to look at this incredible ministry while never sharing how deeply he and Barbara are involved. To that end we hope that you will consider any donations you would like to make on Bob’s behalf will go to “Be a Hero”.

Bob dedicated his life on earth to helping and influencing thousands in a positive way. He left his imprint upon the lives he touched with intensity and deliberation, impacting people all over the world wanting them to see that, they too, could believe and emerge, and become greater than they ever thought possible.

While Bob is gone to a better place, he left us his words and influence that will continue to change lives for generations to come. Join us as we continue to share Bob’s legacy and dream to help children throughout the world through the works of Be a Hero.

Matthew 25:23 “….WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT….”

Wesley and Stacey Campbell, and the staff of Be A HERO are saddened to hear of Bob’s sudden, tragic accident. Bob and Barbara have been fervent supporters of Be A HERO, donating generously to our projects helping the poor and orphans. Most recently they have been contributing towards a Community Centre in Telpura, an impoverished area of Northern India. This community centre will house an elementary school, a medical clinic, library, and rooms for adult literacy, health seminars, and provide a base for disaster and aid relief efforts. The Director of the work in Telpura, Helena Raj lost her husband in a car accident four years ago – she sends her condolences to Barbara and the family.

Our intention is to name the library after Bob: The Robert Schmidt Memorial Library. A fitting tribute to Bob’s great heart of compassion…
